Driver Risk Assessment & Licence Validation
We offer a fully encompassing driver licence validation service through our business partners, The Licence Bureau. This is an online service which allows you to easily ascertain the potential risk each of your drivers pose. After a driver mandate has been completed, the results are then received from the DVLA directly and processed into traffic-light categories as follows:
- Green – Low risk, clean and up to 4 points
- Yellow – Medium risk, 4 to 8 points
- Red – High risk, 8 points and above, plus disqualifications etc

Grey fleet management
In addition we can also check the validity of insurance and MOT documents held by your employees who drive their own vehicles on company business. We will ensure insurance compliance by collecting Private Car Self-Certification forms from drivers using their own car on company business. These forms will be kept in a secure document storage environment and include the following;
- Personal details
- Employment details
- Vehicle details including date vehicle last serviced
- MOT record and expiry
- RFL expiry
- Driver’s own insurance details
- Health details
- Driver declaration
Road Risk Excellence
The Road Risk Excellence programme allows you to assess all drivers against their current knowledge, attitude and skill then seamlessly manage driver training based on individual risk profiles.
The data from the assessment provides a robust audit trail and comprehensive risk profile. It places you in an informed position to decide which type of corrective education and training to utilise, leading to risk reduction, safer drivers and fewer accidents.
The alert system allows you to automatically or manually add drivers to such an assessment.
Key Features of the Risk Assessment include:
- Assess a driver's Knowledge – questions extracted from the highway code
- Assess a driver's Attitude – driver is asked to consider their driving
- Assess a driver's Skills – hazard awareness and reflection
- Provide remedial e-learning modules based on the risk profile of each driver

Company car policy
Marshall Leasing will assist in the review of your existing company car policy. The policy can be examined courtesy of the extensive experience we have in the design of car policies for a number of other clients.
It is essential that the policy acts as both an internal and external rule book which will enable us to manage the ‘outsource’ and initiate a more structured policy for your drivers to follow. Working to this mandate will ensure that your drivers know what is and is not acceptable, and will help to further reduce your internal administration.
Drawing on this experience, policy omissions can be identified, and suggestions made for possible improvement. The format of the policy can also be discussed along with alternative methods of presentation to maximise visibility to drivers.
